Benefit Concert by Diane Gillenwater and Friends This benefit concert will be held on Sunday afternoon, April 18, 2004, at the High School Auditorium in Effingham, KS, and will feature many great players. Please see the "Next Event" page for more information.
Music in The City Park Gazebo: This coming summer, we hope to again have various musical groups performing, from 7 to 9 PM, in the Effingham, KS city park, each Thursday evening during the months of June and July, 2004. Refreshments were served by various organizations. Last summer, we had performances by the Kansas Old Time Fiddlers, Pickers, and Singers, both the Valley Falls and Leavenworth Chapters, Blaine Oswald, Curt Childress and several groups from The Americana Academy of Music in Lawrence, KS. The 2004 Balloon Launcher's Bar B Que: The 2004 Balloon Launcher's Bar B Que will be held on the Saturday following Memorial Day weekend, June 5, 2004, at the Childress Farm, south of Effingham, KS. This year we will feature two different blue grass bands and many other performers from Iowa, Kansas, and California. See the Balloon Launcher's page for additional information. |
